Free Grub with the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme
Did you know that your kids, aged 4-6 years old may be able to get Free Fruit and Veg. The government programme entitles children from infant, primary and special Local Education maintained schools to a free piece of fruit or vegetable each school day, depending on if your child’s school has chosen to take part in the scheme.
Your child could get an apple, pear, banana, satsuma, carrot, cherry tomatoes or other fruit or vegetable depending on whats in season. 96% of eligible schools are already taking part in the scheme. This scheme is part of a National 5 A DAY programme
